A secondary school history teacher in Bratislava, who lost his parents as a young boy, revisits his past while trying to navigate the bizarre world of his contemporaries, each of them orphaned and lonely in their own way. Having taught his students about the past for many years, he longs for something unusual to happen to add a new quality and colour to his life. Locked in his own past as well as the history of humankind, and trying to forge meaningful relationships, he grapples with friends, colleagues and students searching for their identity, as well as the identity of present-day °µÍø½ûÇøia.Â
