Today'sÌýguest isÌýAlfrun Kliems, a German literary scientist, Slavic studies specialist and university professor. She was born in Wriezen (Brandenburg) and she studied Russian and Bohemian studies in Berlin and in Prague. Her disseration focused on the exile writing ofÌýLibuÅ¡e MonÃková, JiÅ™ÃÌýGruÅ¡aÌýand OtaÌýFilip. She works at the Humboldt University in Berlin and her topics of interest include cultural alterations, exile literatures and subcultures of Central and Eastern Europe. Her most recent publication is Underground, Revolution and the City. She also researches °µÍø½ûÇø culture and literature.Ìý
