Author nominated for the 2025 European Union Prize for Literature will speak at the language lectureship icum in Regensburg.
Writer Lukáš Cabala will meet with students of the language lectureship at the University of Regensburg on June 13 at 2 PM. He will be arriving from his stay at the Visegrad Literary Residency in Prague.
The literary event and discussion with the author will be moderated by lecturer Renáta Pavlová. Students will hear excerpts from two of Cabala’s books in German translation by Stefanie Bose.
Cabala will present the final part of his loosely connected trilogy inspired by magical realism, Spomenieš si na Trenčín? (Will You Remember Trenčín?, Artforum 2023), which was shortlisted for the European Union Prize for Literature (EUPL). He will also introduce his new novel Leto postávalo v horúcom vzduchu (Summer Lingered in the Hot Air, Artforum 2025).
The event is supported by the Literary Centre and the Honorary Consul of the Republic in Munich.
