Soňa Uriková on a Residency in Graz

Soňa Uriková will spend six weeks on a residency in Graz, Austria.

From February 7th to March 21st, the writer Soňa Uriková will be a resident at the International House of Writers (IHAG) in the city of Graz.

In March, readers of the literary magazine Lichtungen, based in Graz, can look forward to the German translation of her short story The Most Beautiful Corner in the Wide World from her collection Reason to Be Happy, for which she received the Anasoft Litera Award 2023.

The House of Writers in Graz was founded in 1997. It regularly offers residency scholarships to authors and translators, allowing them to focus on their work in a quiet environment. The aim is also to enable residents to establish connections and interact with the local cultural scene and exchange experiences with residents from other countries.
