Soňa UrikováÌýwas born in Považská Bystrica, graduated with a degree in screenwriting and dramaturgy from the Academy of Performing Arts in Bratislava. Her debut short story collectionÌýŽ¾±±¹Ã©ÌýplotyÌý(Hedges) was published in 2015, and in 2020 she wrote theÌýchildren’s bookÌýJaÅ¡o na jarmokuÌý(JaÅ¡o at a Fair). She organizes theÌýliterary project Medziriadky, conducts creative writing workshops, appears on radio broadcast sand writes for literary magazines and book anthologies.
