Alexandra Kovaľčuk is a translator of literature into Ukrainian. She studies language at the Department of Slavonic philologies of the Faculty of Philology of thIvan Franko National University of Lviv, where she graduated in 2008. She is a freelance translator, translating into Ukrainian and Russian, and aside from also from Czech and Slovenian. In cooperation with film institutes, she has translated several feature and short films (Slnko v sieti, Čiara, Pehavý Max a strašidlá, Slovensko 2.0), and she also collaborated on the organization of the film festival Slovenský Focus in Lviv (2014). She regularly collaborates with the festivals Authors' Reading Month in Lviv (sinc2015) and Book Forum Lviv (sinc2009). She is an artistic translator, host and interpreter during discussions and panels with authors. She has translated the works by Balla, Mária Ferenčuhová, Erik Šimšík, Michal Tallo and others into Ukrainian.
