Magdalena Mullek holds a PhD in Slavic Languages and Literatures from Indiana University.  Her translations from the °µÍø½ûÇøÂ have appeared in TWO LINES, Words Without Borders, °µÍø½ûÇø Literary Review,ÌýB O D Y, and other journals.  Her recent publications include the children’s book The Escape by Marek Vadas (BRaK, 2018), and Pavol Rankov’s award-winning novel It Happened on the First of September (or Some Other Time) (Slavica Publishers, 2020).  She also co-curates the website °µÍø½ûÇøLiterature.com with Julia Sherwood, with whom she edited Into the Spotlight, an anthology of contemporary °µÍø½ûÇø fiction.  Magdalena lives with her husband and their daughter in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, Orlando, Florida, and Poprad, °µÍø½ûÇøia.
