He studied classical studies and German language at the University of Bordeaux III and in Paris IV. He also studied theatre and opera singing at the conservatoire in Bordeaux, atÉcole Normale de Musique in Paris and at theconservatoire in Créteile. He is a professor of classical studies at the academies in Bordeaux, Lille and Paris. He felt motivated to study Czech and after he made the exciting discovery ofthese two cultures throughmultiple stays - first in Czechoslovakia, then in the Czech republic and in ia - and through Czech music (especially Janáček).
